1. Lesson Attendance
Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons.
Consequences for Missed Lessons
- 24-hour Notice: If a student provides at least 24 hours’ notice, the lesson can be rescheduled without penalty.
- Less than 24-hour Notice: If a student cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, the lesson will be considered missed and no refund or rescheduling will be granted.
- No Show: If a student does not show up for a lesson without any prior notice, the lesson is forfeited.
2. Practice Commitment
Students are expected to practice regularly as agreed upon with their instructor.
Consequences for Not Practicing
- Feedback and Support: If a student is consistently not practicing, the instructor will schedule a meeting to discuss challenges and provide strategies.
- Lack of Improvement: Continued lack of practice may result in a recommendation to pause lessons until a consistent practice routine can be established.
3. Payment Policies
Payments are due at the beginning of each month for scheduled lessons.
Late Payments
- Grace Period: A 5-day grace period is allowed for late payments.
- Late Fee: After the grace period, a late fee of $10 will be applied.
Non-Payment
- First Instance: A reminder will be sent after 14 days of non- payment.
- Second Instance: If payment is not received within 30 days, lessons will be suspended until the account is settled.
4. Materials and Equipment
Students are responsible for having the necessary materials (e.g., violin, sheet music, and accessories) for each lesson.
Consequences for Not Having Materials:
- One-Time Instance: If a student forgets their materials once, the lesson will continue with alternative activities.
- Repeated Instances: Continued failure to bring materials may result in a discussion about commitment to the lessons.
5. Studio Etiquette
Students are expected to arrive on time and maintain a respectful attitude during lessons.
Consequences for Poor Etiquette:
- Verbal Warning: A verbal warning will be issued for first-time offenses.
- Written Warning: If poor behavior persists, a written warning will be provided, and further incidents may lead to termination of lessons.
Additional Notes
Emergencies: Exceptions may be made for emergencies or illness, at the instructor's discretion.
Communication: Open communication is encouraged for any issues regarding attendance, practice, or payment.
By following these guidelines, we can ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all students. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
